Why there is no single correct HEX-to-CMYK answer

HEX describes emitted sRGB light. CMYK describes ink placed on a physical substrate. The printable result depends on the press, ink set, paper, rendering intent, and ICC profile. Use this conversion for planning, then soft-proof with the printer’s profile and order a physical proof for critical brand work.

1. Ask for the profile

Your printer can provide an ICC profile or recommend a standard output condition.

2. Soft-proof

Preview the profile conversion on a calibrated display and inspect gamut warnings.

3. Print a proof

A physical proof remains the reliable approval artifact for color-critical output.
